One of the most iconic toys in British history, to my mind, is the Tiny Tears doll and they are celebrating their 50th anniversary this year. Tiny Tears was the first fully functioning feeding, crying and wetting doll with closing eyes, moveable arms, legs and head.
To celebrate this milestone John Adams have released the limited edition Tiny Tears 50th Anniversary Doll and Baby was lucky enough to receive one.

This special edition Tiny Tears doll is dressed up birthday princess dress and has a vintage curly hairstyle. Like the traditional doll, your children will still be able to feed Tiny Tears from her very own water bottle, put her on her potty to wet, sit her up and Tiny Tears even cries real tears. When you lay her down, her eyes gently close.

The 50th anniversary limited edition doll also comes complete with a potty, bottle and a keepsake special commemorative certificate, printed with its own unique number.
Baby had never had a ‘proper’ doll, only rag doll types, so I was interested to see what she would make of it. I popped it on a shelf, thinking I would give it to her the following day, but she spotted it and really wanted to play with it there and then.
Straight away she loved Tiny Tears; feeding her, dressing, undressing and placing her on the potty. She even made me empty the potty (of invisible wee!). Baby is a bit messy with water at the moment, so we aren’t telling her yet about the drinking/crying/weeing features; however even without these features Baby adores playing with this beautiful doll.
Baby loves Tiny Tears and as she gets older we will introduce the full range of features.
Disclosure: We were given this doll in return for an honest review.
