10 Reasons Why The Valley Is Better Than Home #Parentpanel

As part of the Parent Friendly Stays #ParentPanel we have been asked to tell you all why our family would love to go on holiday to The Valley, Cornwall.  After having a look at their website something stood out for us, well actually ten things…..

Reasons why we want to go to The Valley is Cornwall

The Valley has…… Home has….

1. Indoor and Outdoor Pools   A Paddling Pool….

The Valley boasts wonderful heated swimming pools, both indoors and outdoors.  At home we have this rather odd paddling pool that Baby is not too keen on at all!  Other than that she has to do her swimming practice in the bath!

2. Tennis Court            Some rackets from the Pound Shop

Baby has a new-found love of tennis; I think she is harbouring a dream to be the next Anna Kournikova!  I must admit Wimbledon kicking off always made me feel like a game too. Living in an end terrace we haven’t got room for a court… just these……

The Valley

3. Games Room               Dusty old Pool cue

Mr Hubby would love the games room, complete with pool table; a husbands dream!  At home his neglected pool cue spends most of its time looking forlorn in the cupboard. Giving him access to a pool table would also probably get me out of the next Christmas and Birthday presents.  Result!

4. Onsite Restaurant              My cooking

I am no Jamie Oliver and thankfully Mr Hubby does most all of the cooking in our house. Bless him, I think he could do with a break.  The on site restaurant, the Cafe Azur, would give him the perfect opportunity to hang up his pinny and relax while sampling the gorgeous food on offer.  This is what happens if I am left in charge of meal times…

The Valley

 5. Dog friendly                Doggy Prison

Our dogs are part of the family and Lily was born in our living room!  They would love to come on holiday, mainly because we put them in Prison sometimes when we are at home… I am not convinced about them holidaying with us and the dog sitter still seems like a good option!  However, as part of the family they get their vote and on this they would say The Valley wins.

The Valley

 6. Ten minutes from the beach      So far from the beach!

We adore the beach; come rain or shine we love being by the sea.  We all have a huge desire to live by the sea and The Valley is a step closer to the beach than we are at home.  Our closest beach is an hour and a half drive from our home but, at The Valley, the beach is 15 minutes away; heaven!  At home we have to make do with this poor substitute…

 7. Baby sitters                 Just us

The Valley employs its own team of babysitters to enable parents to enjoy a taste of the local nightlife.  At home we are devoid of babysitters and haven’t had a child free night out together since Baby was born!  Yikes, that’s been over 2 years.  The Valley definitely gets this point.

The Valleys

 8. Daily housekeeping service        Baby with a dustbuster!
.

As a busy working family and find it a constant challenge to keep up with the household chores.  The Valley offers a daily housekeeping service, which means we could let Baby off dust bustering duties!

The Valley

9. Fitness suite                  Kids bike/hot bath

The Valley has a fully equipped fitness suite and spa pool.  There are no such luxuries at our Hampshire home and we have to make do with an undersized exercise bike and a hot bath!

The Valley

10. Wifi               Wifi

O.K, well as it turns out this is just as good at home as it would be at The Valley; I am a blogger after all!

The Valley

So you see, there is fairly substantial evidence that The Valley is, in fact, better than home. These factors combined with our love of Cornwall make The Valley top of our holiday wish list.

Disclosure: This is our entry for the Parent Friendly Stays #Parent Panel Competition.

  1. Haha would have to completely agree with you on that one, The Valley sounds like a dream compared to being at home. Ooh tennis, swimming, close to the beach AND babysitters. Sold!

Good luck, they would be mad not to chose you! xxx
