We were invited to spend the day at Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm. We love days out involving animals, so Aunty J, Baby and I set off to the Zoo in Bristol, just over an hours drive from us.
Unfortunately, we were not blessed with the weather, it was pouring down; so we headed straight to the café in the hope that it would pass over after lunch. Baby had a kids pizza, while J and I had jacket potatoes. It was really reasonably priced and actually quite tasty. However, before long it was time to venture out into the rain the explore the zoo.
There are lots of great play areas dotted around the Zoo; some are outdoor like this Ark and others under cover, like the rope swings in the straw barn.
Baby was mesmirised by the tortoises, especially when they started to move around and have a little jaunt outside.
Llamas are always a hit with Baby, the Llama lived beside a very noise sheep who scared the life out of Baby every time it (very loudly) baa’d!

Baby even had a go at milking the ‘fake’ cow and actually managed it; she was very pleased with herself.
We wandered through the bird enclosure and spotted these gorgeous brightly coloured beauties. Eventually Baby gained in confidence walking with the birds at her feet and started to relax.
Baby loves ducks and this one had the funkiest hair we had ever seen on a duck!
We could have done with a few more signposts, just to make our route clearer on ocassion.
Due to the weather, most of the animals were inside, including our favourites the Giraffes.
Baby was channeling her inner Peppa pig, loving the rain and splashing in the puddles.
Some of the animal enclosures weren’t the biggest I have seen, especially the Rhinos, Giraffes and Zebras.
Overall, despite the rain we had a pleasant day out. Due to the distance from us, we probably won’t go again, but it is worth a visit if you are more local than us.
Disclosure: We were given free admission in return for an honest review.

This looks like such a lovely place to visit – shame about the weather! Not somewhere I’ve heard of before but we spend a lot of time around Bristol so we’ll have to pay a visit x
Never mind the zoo look at Baby’s rainy day outfit, she looks adorbs! We have been here before and I would have to agree about the enclosure size. I always find we enjoy the indoor stuff more than wandering around the outside. Shame I couldn’t meet with you on the day, it was weird knowing you were only down the road! xxxx
