We are so excited to announce that we have been invited to Camp Bestival this year as official bloggers! Eeek! We had plans to go last year, but circumstances conspired against us. So this year we are doubly excited to be attending.
Camp Bestival is THE family friendly festival set in the beautiful grounds of Lulworth Castle in Dorset. This year, the extravaganza will be held from 30th July to 2nd August and the theme is ‘Camp Bestival Goes Wild’
Camp Bestival has so much going to offer that it will be impossible for us to see and do everything, so in my usual organised way I have decided that we need a ‘must see’ list. Then anything else we do in addition to this will be a bonus. It pays to be organised!
Our Top Ten Must See List
- Watch the Kaiser Chiefs – I think they would be really good live, so I think this is one not to be missed.
- Explore Dingly Dell – There will be a few times over the course of the festival that Baby needs some quiet, more low-key time and Dingly Dell offers a magical array of stories and activities in a woodland refuge.
- Pimp My Trolley – With prizes on offer for the most well pimped trolleys, this sounds like a lot of fun!

- The Cat in the Hat – Live! – Amazing! Perfect for the kiddos and the parents.
- Big Fish Little Fish – Apparently this is THE place to party. To be honest they had me at bubbles and glitter cannons!
- Wall of Death – Surely, motorbikes being ridden at top speed up a wall is a must-see at least once in your life?
- National Trust’s 50 Things Meadow – Getting back to nature with lots of fun challenges for kids.
- Face Painting – Ever since Baby was born I have longed for her face to be painted, but lots of places won’t do the younger kids. Hopefully, she is keen!
- Les Enfants Terribles’ Marvellous Imaginary Menagerie – If Tim Burton and Roald Dahl met and opened a circus this would be it. This is definitely something Mamma wants to see.
- Mr Tumble – Baby has never watched Mr Tumble, but I heard such great things about his performance last year, that I know she will just love it.

Fancy it?! You can book tickets here.
If you still need to be convinced check out the highlights from last year.
How exciting! Have you been to Camp Bestival? What would you recommend we go and see?

Thanks for sharing great information with us.
We miss going to festivals since the kids came along and can’t wait for them to get a tiny bit older so we can do something like Camp Bestival. You will love Les Enfants Terribles. We saw their show a few years ago at Winchester Hat Fair and it was amazing x
