Friday means it’s time to link up with Jocelyn from The Reading Residence for Word of the week #WOTW.
The word of my week is;
This week has been a week of achievement for Baby. She has learned two new things within a day of each other. On Wednesday she decided that she wanted to crawl properly and not commando crawl as she usually does. Then on Thursday she pulled herself up on her walker and managed a few little steps, before sitting back down again. She has pulled herself up before, but has never attempted movement. I managed to snap her as she was almost finished. Then later that day she walked down the whole room, with me just steadying the walker (as our floor is very slippy).
Bless my baby girl, she is growing up so fast.
The only negative to all this action is her bumps and bruises. She is quite gung-ho and her little legs are covered in bruises from her attempts to walk that have failed. She fell a couple of days ago and caught the side of her face. I hate seeing her with these blemishes, but I think it is an inevitable part of growing up.
I wonder when she will take her first unassisted steps.
My previous words of the week have been Organised , Overwhelmed, Blessed, Active , Cuddles , Play-Date/Illness, Change, Horrible and Indecision
If you enjoy reading my blog I would appreciate it if you could nominate me in the BiB Awards xx

Aww I love this stage, I remember the fear that they will get hurt, mind you, I had twins so my son started to take those first few steps and his sister would pull him down.

It is a very exciting stage, for both of us! x
Ah what a clever girl! I love her sleep suit too. LL is showing no signs of walking yet, but funnily enough I just posted a photo of her on instagram as she was walking with her walker! They are growing so fast! x

She is very proud of herself. The babygrow is from Sainsburys a lovely 2 pack, have little heart applique on the elbows x
This is such a brilliant stage, they are growing so fast at this age too.
Author
Yes it is so quick and things are grouped together x
Wow – you will have your hands full soon – what a little mover & groover! 😀
My boys are almost 2 and 3 and they are still covered in bruises – I hardly worry now unless there’s blood, or it’s a head bump (though maybe that’s because they are boys, not that that should make any difference)…
Exciting times in your house x
Author
Yes the development seems quite rapid! x

What a gorgeous girl – she’ll be walking on her own before you know it. Btw do you know about arnica cream? It’s great for bruises!

Oh wow, there will be no stopping her soon! I wouldn’t worry about the bump and bruises – as soon as my two were on the feet they have been constantly covered!

So cute! My 20 month old has had so many blooming head injuries in the last year since he’s been really mobile but I guess that is just all part of growing up! #WotW

What a week. My boys never did learn to crawl properly, it was comando all the way!
Author

Oh God! Get those corner protectors in place! You might as well get used to the bruises, they’ll be a fixture for the next couple of years, but thankfully not as numerous as the near misses – I spent those years in a permanent state of wincing.
Author
She just pulls those off! We have a massive playpen so that helps x
