Magical String Easter Eggs – Perfect for Treasure Hunts

Easter is on the horizon and it brings back memories of Easters I experienced as a child.  We lived in Scotland and I remember hunting round our house and garden for the eggs that my Mum had hidden.  The hunt was by far the most exciting part for me, even if the chocolate was yummy!

I started to think how I could make a treasure hunt for easter eggs even more exciting and I decided to make magical string Easter eggs.  A colourful egg shaped cage containing chocolate goodies.

All you need is string, balloons, glue, paint, brushes and of course chocolate!

Here is how we did it.

We packed up our easter treats and headed out to the common to test them out in our very own Easter Egg hunt.

We had such a wonderful time on our Easter egg hunt and just as much fun making the eggs.  Baby thought the whole experience was very exciting and it was lovely for her to be involved in creating something that she then went on to enjoy.

I hope this has given you some inspiration; maybe you will create your own eggs and try an Easter egg hunt this year.

  1. Oh if only we could all get away with bunny ears, a “fur” coat and tuille skirt every day! Amazing.
Fab photos and your egg hunt sounds like a lot of fun

  2. These look fab! And it looks like Baby had so much fun on her Egg Hunt too – I think Boo and I are going to have to have a go at making these =)
