My Weigh In – Time to Refocus

Welcome to my weigh in!

I have been on the Diet Chef plan since October and have had fabulous results so far!  Details of all my previous weigh ins are here if you want a little look.

So last week I vowed to be fully back on the wagon and stick to the plan as I have done over the past 20 or so weeks.  I would like to say it was a resounding success, but a number of factors made it a difficult week.  I took part in the Comic Relief 6 hour Danceathon at Wembley and having not eaten all day, we had a takeaway when I returned.  My mum came to visit and a couple of family meals took place.  So all in all, I am a bit gutted about this week.

I do need to think of the big picture, of how far I have come and not let a cycle of guilt creep back into my thoughts.  Things are going to happen in life and however ‘good’ you are being, there will be times when you fall off plan.

So onward and upwards.  I have 5 weeks until we go on holiday, so for this 5 weeks I am going to kick some butt!  I will start walking everyday again and make the next 5 weeks count.  Then I will enjoy our short break, and a press trip I have following our family holiday (without going mad!). Then it will be focus all the way to my goal.

I can do this, I will do this.

The programme I am on would cost £8.75 per day.  However, if you order a 12 week supply this daily cost reduces to £6.61 (this is for all three meals and a snack).  Check the website for great offers.

Disclosure: I am being sent Diet Chef hampers in order to review the programme.  All opinions are 100% honest and are my own.

  1. Don’t be too disappointed, I think you can take a huge positive away from this week. A takeaway + normal family meals + a little bit of exercise = maintaining weight. So just think, when you’ve finally reached your target weight, this is the type of week you can have EVERY week and stay at the weight you want to be. You know what the future looks like now. You can definitely get there xx

  3. Wow, how amazing to take part in the dancethon you, you deserved a takeaway!! I always think that certain times of the year even if you are on a diet there should be times when it is relaxed, like Christmas, Birthdays and Anniversaries etc (and definitely after helping to raise all that money!) I would feel so grumpy if I went without at those special times, I also think it should that you are doing a great job and losing weight sensibly because even after a few treats this week you maintained!

  4. A huge well done on doing the danceathon and your weight loss so far has been amazing. It can be easy to be despondent when it hasn’t been a good week weight-loss-wise but looking at the bigger picture shows just how far you have come. I think you definitely deserved your post-danceathon takeaway even if it has meant that this week has been a bit of a blip on your weight-loss journey.

  7. Well done, Aby. I think you’ve done brilliantly. As others have said, the past week has shown you that you can maintain your weight when you’re off the programme. It’s all about balance – healthy eating, exercise – and treats too. Super well done too re the Danceathon, not only for the money raised but also for all those hours dancing – a feat to be very proud of xxx
