5 Supplements For Busy Mums

Being a parent can be hard and quite often exhausting.  I must admit to feeling a little washed out myself recently.  My energy levels have been really low and I have felt much more tired than usual.  I realise that some degree of tiredness is part and parcel of being a mum; it comes with the territory, but I have started to look at which supplements could give me a little lift and support my system.  I thought I would share my research with you all, in case you are feeling a little jaded.

5 Supplements for busy mums

  • Bio-Chromium – Do you ever get that crashing feeling, when you feel like you have to reach for a chocolate bar to give yourself a sugar boost?  Sometimes I even get a shaky feeling. Bio-Chroium helps to avoid this ‘high and low’ hunger pattern, and so reduces the risk of snacking between meals.
  • Bio-Quinone Active Q10 – This supplement plays a significant role in the body’s energy supply mechanism.  It acts alongside enzymes converting fats and sugars into energy.
  • Bio Multi Woman –  Women are often deficient in vitamins and minerals such as iron, iodine and vitamin B, which can lead to tiredness.  Bio Multi Woman combines all these vitamins in one handy tablet.
  • Bio-Magnesium – Stress can be the result of low magnesium levels, as can restless legs, anxiety, hypertension and palpitations.  So taking a Magnesium supplement can have multiple benefits.
  • Bio-Omega Fish Oil – Fish oil is such an important supplement for brain function and concentration, as well as heart health.  Also I read a really interesting article recently that said fish oil can help skin to return to is pre weight gain state, after the weight is lost.  So for mums who have recently shed baby weight, this could be really useful supplement.
